In keeping with the Phase II State guidelines for COVID-19 protection the Corsica River Yacht Club is partially open.  The dock and beach launching areas and heads are open.  The pavilion is open for up to 20 people.

Recreational Boating is permitted including kayaking for exercise.  The kayaks and canoes on the Club fleet rack are available for use.  The club fleet storage box has the same combo as the front gate.  Heads are open for use by one person at a time.  Provide your own wipes and sanitize common touch points.

The dock and beach launching area are available for use subject to the following:
1. When entering, lock the gate behind you and again when leaving - everyone who should have the combo does have the combo
2. Maintain social distancing on the club grounds
3. Do not gather on the dock
4. Wear masks as appropriate when not on a boat, and the only people going out on a boat together — no more than 10 — should be “housemates on land.”
5. Provide your own wipes and sanitize the common touch points (i.e. gate lock, hoist control)

Just give an extra thought to how your activities may impact others.

Due to COVID-19 Corsica River Yacht Club  will not be partnering with the YMCA for a sailing school this summer.  Instead we are referring interested folks to Rock Hall Yacht Club. Rock Hall Yacht Club is offering limited individual and small group lessons this summer.
The Rock Hall Yacht Club Sailing School is open and teaching sailing this summer! The focus at RHYCSS is Private & Group Lessons for Beginners and Intermediate and Advanced Sailing classes for more independent/experienced sailors. They have a summer 2020 Preparedness Plan which addresses the COVID-19 situation, keeping class sizes small, and focuses on cleanliness and safety of students and instructors both on the water and ashore. To find out more, please see the website or call 410-775-8225.
