JUNIOR SAILING INSTRUCTORS SUMMER 2012

Job Description:

Come teach and coach sailing across the Bay from legendary Annapolis on the Chesapeake Bay! Located on the beautiful and sailing friendly Corsica River on Maryland's Eastern Shore, the CRYC Junior Sailing Program is a LEARN -TO-SAIL instructional and racing program for children 6 to 16 years of age. Our curriculum takes youngsters from any experience level, broadens their sailing knowledge, boat handling skills, and builds upon their overall confidence on the water. Our growing Program offers a well-balanced mix of on-land and on-water instruction. We are a relaxed Club environment, where safety, fun, and learning take priority. Some regional regatta travel and coaching are possible.


CRYC is seeking 1 head instructor and 3 sailing instructors for our 8-week sailing program. Teach sailing in 6 well-maintained 420s and 14 Optimists. Approximately 75-100 sailors participate in 1, 2, and 3-week sessions. We offer competitive salaries and can assist with local housing.

Job Qualifications:

Strong communicators who love children and youths must be responsible and safety-minded. Instructing experience and US Sailing Level-1 certification a plus (CRYC can help with certification). Current CPR/First Aid and MD Boating License (or Equivalent) required.
