Corsica River Yacht Club has a long-standing family sailing tradition for both adults and juniors and welcomes all Laser sailors. We have an active and growing Laser fleet that includes summer club sailing, race training and regattas.

Our Annual Regatta in July is one of the best attended regattas in the District, attracting Lasers of all ages and skill levels. There is also a great family party on the Saturday night of the regatta with entertainment and dinner.

An active winter frostbiting series runs from mid-November to late March, providing almost year round sailing for the Laser Fleet.  Please see the Frostbiting page for NOR.

In addition the club has a very active Junior Sailing Program that trains over 120 juniors per summer. We have a long-standing tradition of junior sailing classes which will be strengthened this year through partnering with Gunston Day School and their nationally recognized sailing coach.  To support our sailing program the club hosts a very well attended Junior Regatta.

In 2010 the club built a pavilion with heated showers, large grassy areas on which to rig, and a sandy beach for  easy launching.  The site provides a picturesque sailing area, limited motorboat traffic and access to either protected sailing areas for beginners or nearby open water sailing areas for the more experienced.
